Clark James Insurance Recruitment are working with an exciting Insurance company based in the Tonbridge area. Our client is currently seeking an office-based Surveying in House Expert.
Key responsibilities of the role are to provide technical advice on building insurance claims in person to the claims handling team and to determine whether the claims should be accepted or rejected. Excellent communication skills are essential as you would be contacting policyholders to inform them where buildings claims are repudiated, or scopes are adjusted with a valid well-articulated rationale. The successful candidate would need strong negotiation skills as you would be responsible to liaise with building contractors and to negotiator building claim costs.
The ideal candidate would be degree educated with relevant qualifications, minimum HNC/HND qualifications in surveying. A strong background as a surveyor with knowledge of the insurance industry. You would also have experience of using Xactware or other estimating software.
