We are looking for a Graduate Developer (Associate) to help shape and build our product, an online communication & collaboration application.

You will be highly passionate about new technology and will play a significant role within our team and the wider business. whilst working with an innovative start-up team.

The Associate will work closely with the Founders of the business, research partners and 3rd party teams to help scope, design and develop the future of the product.
Salary: 25k - £30k+ pro rate (subject to qualifications and experience) plus bonus based on performance

This full-time post 6 - 9 month fixed term appointment will require a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science or related disciplines. An MSc would be desirable. There is a good opportunity to join ReapSource on a permanent basis at the end of the term.

You’ll be based at the premises of ReapSource, Innovation Centre Medway, Maidstone Road, Chatham, Kent ME5 9FD to work on this project.


Responsibilities:

- Design and Develop the web application (front and back-end) including Database Architecture working according to Agile (Scrum) methodology
- Work closely with all stakeholders and take a key role in the product development
- Provide innovative solutions and participate in the development of the strategic roadmap in alignment with the business vision and strategy & aligned to market research feedback
- Collaborate with teams to ensure smooth integration of front end and back end development
- Ensure all solutions are tested, optimised, well documented and deployed timely
- Explore and suggest future technologies that will help grow the business and product (frameworks etc.)
- Support and maintain existing live platform – developed in C#, .net and Java


Key Skills:

- Strong educational background in Computer Science / or Related Degree (2018 and 2019 Graduates welcome)
- Knowledge / Strong hands-on development background in Microsoft technologies including MS SQL
- Knowledge / Full-stack experience with C#, C++, ASP.Net, MVC, Web API, WCF, JavaScript & HTML5
- Knowledge / Experience with API integrations and Cyber security
- Knowledge / Experience of Artificial Intelligence will be highly desirable
- Appreciation of responsive design on multiple devices
- Knowledge of Agile (Scrum) Project Development Working Environment
- Good understanding of design principles in UX and UI
- Experience in UX and UI will be very desirable
- Experience in building highly scalable and fully mobile optimized solutions will be desirable
- Experience creating and implementing a strong testing culture and environment desirable
- Knowledge of either collaboration and / or communication and e-learning delivery platforms essential e.g. Microsoft Teams, Slack, Moodle etc.
- Excellent communication and people skills with a positive “can do - will do” work ethic
- Highly talented and motivated software engineer willing to persevere to drive deliverables through to completion
