A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced full time bookkeeper to join our growing team in our Tonbridge office.
The role:
As a firm who pride ourselves in client service, you will have experience in running client’s bookkeeping in an accountancy practice independently and to a high standard.
As part of the bookkeeping role, you will raise invoices, record receipts and payments, reconcile bank accounts and provide monthly management accounts. You will also be expected to liaise with third parties, so excellent communications skills are essential.
From time to time, you may also be required to assist with preparing clients payrolls, which will include preparing the basic calculations, including dealing with auto-enrolment, statutory sick pay and other benefits, preparing Forms P11D/P11Db, P45, P60 and pay slips etc.
You may also be required to perform general office duties, such as telephone calls, welcoming clients and filing.
You should be proficient in Word and Excel, and experience with Iris Kashflow and Xero is preferred. You will also need to be able to use multiple software, due to individual client needs, and be adaptable.
You will need to be well organised and be able to work in a timeous manner, with the ability to work to deadlines and calmly under pressure. The ability to work by yourself as well as part of a team is essential. Excellent attention to detail is a must.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice dealing with bookkeeping clients
• Working knowledge of preparing clients’ payrolls would be beneficial, but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail is essential
• Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to work in a timeous manner and under pressure to meet deadlines
• Able to work independently and use initiative
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Working knowledge of Iris Kashflow and Xero is beneficial, but full training will be provided.
