The Winter Gardens is Kent’s largest banqueting venue, offering a variety of functions and caters for small dinner parties and family celebrations to full banqueting and conference facilities for up to 1400 people. In addition to this the venue regularly hosts a variety of different events including musicals, comedy shows, live bands and music tributes.

We are currently seeking applicants to build our bank of casual employees to work as part of our Bar and Catering service team at the venue, as well as assisting the bar service at the Theatre Royal, Margate as required.

If you are looking for evening and/or weekend work to provide some additional income whilst fitting around other commitments or family responsibilities this could be for you.

Applicants must have excellent customer service skills and will preferably have previous experience in bar and/or silver service, although training will be provided for the right candidates.


Casual Ushers – Winter Gardens

NMW/NLW – age dependent

We are currently seeking applications for Casual Ushers to work at Margate’s Winter Gardens.

The hours will include regular evening/night and weekend work.
Due to the hours of work we can only accept applications from people over the age of 18.

The post holder will be required to meet and greet Winter Gardens customers at various events including shows, concerts and dinners. To direct customers to the appropriate place in the venue. To be the first point of contact for customer queries.

Successful applicants will have excellent customer service skills and will preferably have previous experience in dealing with members of the public, although training will be provided for the right candidates.

Volunteers – Theatre Royal

We are keen to hear from potential new volunteers to join our amazing team at the historic Theatre Royal in Margate. We have the privilege of hosting a diverse range of productions, performances and historic tours each year and you can be a part of that, as a tour ‘guide’ or usher. Applicants must have exceptional customer service and communication skills and full training will be provided.
