ACCOUNT HANDLER - MOTOR TRADE
Job Title: ACCOUNT HANDLER - Motor Trade
Office: West Malling, Kent
Starting Date: ASAP
Hours of Work: 9AM to 5PM, Monday to Friday
Salary: up to £22,000 - £25,000 depending on experience.
Overview of Role
Our client is seeking an additional Account Handler to join their Motor Trade team based in West Malling. The role is a varied mix of account handler duties such as renewals, MTA's, claims & underwriting under our delegated authority schemes. They are a high-volume division with plans to grow the division rapidly over the next couple of years.
Ideally, they would be looking for someone with at least 2 years' experience dealing with Motor Trade Risks, however they will consider applicants who have a few years commercial experience. Some underwriting experiencing would be interesting due to the delegated authority aspect of the scheme.
The successful Motor Trade Account Handler will be required to demonstrate the following skills, Experience and Knowledge but will not be limited to:
* To manage client expectations at all times
* Must be intelligent, articulate and have high personal standards
* Strong interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal and written
* Able to form good business relationships with both clients and insurers
* The ability to listen effectively & respond accordingly
* A minimum of 2 years Commercial Experience
* Be willing to undergo further studies for Cert CII and other Insurance qualifications
* To take an active interest & be able to engage in any given subject matter
* Must be able to work long/flexible hours on occasions to ensure that current high standards of Client service are maintained.
* Must be willing and able to travel to meet Clients, and also attend training which could be provided outside of the London office.
* Must have good negotiation skills
* Must be able to work well under pressure
* Must display a careful, methodical approach to work
* To be consistent and accurate at all times with work carried out
* To be a good team player
* Must have good technical knowledge
* An appetite to further own knowledge
* Fully competent on all system processes (Acturis, Word and Excel) and IT literate
