Fabulous opportunity with a global manufacturing client.

This is a maternity cover role with an immediate start available and an end date of 31st December 2019, so a genuine opportunity to gain some additional solid experience with a key manufacturing client in the area.

Although the role itself is placed within the Research & Development team, it is important to qualify you are working for the business as a whole and not specifically just the R & D team, so we are NOT looking for a candidate from an R & D background, but someone from a more general manufacturing/supply chain type of background who can apply themselves to the challenges of this position.

To explain this further, the position is not about managing people, but co-ordinating/managing a project or topic and could be considered ideal for someone who has had some experience of project work as part of another role for example, ideally within manufacturing or supply chain environment, in order to have a good understanding of day to day functions within a fast moving consumer goods manufacturing operation.

Please note the client is not looking for applicants from IT, Construction or a Railways background.

You will be working within a dynamic and professional team and a particularly fast paced environment. The successful applicant must have the ability to cope with pressure, be assertive and adaptable.

The role is very people focussed, in as much as you will be liaising with all areas of the business, including Supply Chain, R & D, Quality, New Product Development, Packaging Development and Production, co-ordinating information, dealing with multiple topics and bringing information together, sharing information with colleagues and departments.

We are looking for an individual with the strength to manage often complex cross functional projects, with a bias for Action, by adopting a professional and positive approach, who can control a project/topic and mitigate risk.

Your colleagues may for example, have a PRINCE2 certification (project management) so any similar certifications (ie. IPMA, APIM, PMI and/or MS Project) would be definitely beneficial.

You will also be responsible for overseeing multiple projects from initial feasibility, through to launch implementation.
There will be input into regular global conference calls.

The role will also involve project evaluation, assessment and communication of results.

Good presentation skills also required with the ability to conduct effective meetings and presentations within large teams.

If you feel you have the experience, knowledge and drive to run with this role, please email your CV as soon as possible.
