LEISURE PROJECT OFFICER
2 year Fixed term Contract
21 Hours Per Week
SECTION: LEISURE
SALARY: Grade 7 £23,044 - £24,671 Pa Pro rata
Maidstone – Great people, great place, great opportunity
Are you a highly motivated person with a passion for leisure and sports?
If so, this role could provide an exciting opportunity for you to support the Council’s ambitions to ensure that the Borough has good leisure and cultural attractions and to encourage the health and wellbeing of its residents.
Maidstone is home to a number of leisure venues, sports centre and local sports clubs but with a growing population it is important that future provision meets future demand. Maidstone Borough Council is leading the feasibility and planning for future leisure provision with a comprehensive stakeholder engagement.
The Leisure Project Officer will support the stakeholder engagement exercise, ensure it covers all areas of the community, and present data and findings in a variety of ways.
This part-time, fixed-term post will cover 21 hours per week on a flexible basis to suit the postholder, but some evening and weekend work will be necessary based on when focus group meetings with local organisations are held.
The Council considers this to be a customer focused role and the ability to converse at ease with customers adapting communication style to suit differing audiences and provide advice in accurate spoken English is fundamental to the role.
Maidstone Borough Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all employee and volunteers to share this commitment.
This is a part-time position on a fixed term contract for 24 months.
