Business Development Manager – CustodianDC Ltd

Salary: Basic £30k - £40k (OTE Uncapped)

Based at the Maidstone TV Studios in Kent, we are lucky to have some of the brightest and most forward-thinking people in the industry, all driving towards the common goal of providing world-class data centre services.

The Role:
This role is about building long term, mutually beneficial relationships by showing the passion & understanding of what we can offer to any company that relies on their IT infrastructure. With the help of our Marketing team you will contact carefully selected companies who we believe will benefit from using a world class data centre & network. Once a new client is onboard you will stay the main point of commercial contact to give the client continuity and to ensure that they continue to get the highest level of service.
Every one of our clients is trusting us to look after one of the most important elements of their business. This role needs someone who can understand that trust and represent Custodian accordingly. A full training programme will form part of the induction process and on-going training will be encouraged. Accurate records will need to be kept across all activity & updated on our CRM.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:
• Building long term relationships with existing and new clients
• Identify new business opportunities including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services
• Generate leads and call prospective customers on a daily basis
• Organise customer/client meetings and tours of the datacentre
• Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
• Strategically setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
• Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them
• Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department
• Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management
• Recording all sales activity on our CRM, ensuring all information is kept up to date
• Working directly with our Network Engineers to develop all knowledge on all products and services we provide

About You:
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
• Experience of IT related solutions in a sales or pre-sales role
• Confidence and Enthusiasm
• A willingness to learn with an organised approach to work

Useful Experience:
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, managed services, cloud migration or IT Transformation
