The Maidstone location is where the company was founded and is home to the factory which produces the very high-end segment of KEF’s loudspeaker range, incorporating the advanced acoustic technology that the company is so revered for. Visitors from around the world come to see the manufacturing operation and R&D facilities in Kent, England.
The role
The Assembly Technician is responsible for the manufacture of loudspeakers within the factory. This involves completing sub-assembly PCBs and wiring harnesses, assembling them into loudspeaker cabinets long with other components and testing and packing in an ISO9001 environment
As an Assembly Technician your responsibilities will include:
• Building loudspeakers to the highest possible standards – one assembly technician is responsible for one pair of finished speakers and signs off on them prior to test and final inspection/packing
• Maintaining Quality to the highest standards
• Keeping a tidy and safe working environment
• Working with colleagues to create solutions to problems and challenges
• Working on sub-assemblies
• QC checking and packing
• Assisting with site maintenance and security
• Carrying out routine stock check counting as required

Maintaining high-end build quality
Visual quality of finished product
Physically able to lift and move heavy items
PERSON SPECIFICATION
QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
Preferably with mechanical or electrical qualification
Ideally 5 years minimum experience in factory environment assembling products
HSE practices familiarity
Good communication skills
Effective team player
Ethical outlook and genuine interest in audio products and music
COMPANY/ROLE INFORMATION Salary £19,000 PA
