My client based in Rochester, Kent is looking to recruit a Senior Overheads Accountant. They are an international defense, aerospace and security company which deliver a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services. This is a key role within their finance team and will allow you to be able to make improvements and drive change.

You will be reporting to the Assistant Finance Director and your role will be to provide finance business partnering support to key senior financial and non-financial stakeholders.

This is a full time position, salary up to £35,000.



Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Engaging and collaborating with key functional leads in completing financial forecasts.
* Working closely with the team.
* Drive capital budgeting process providing additional support.
* Driving business ensuring fixed assets management controls around acquisition, capitalisation, and disposals are in line with the company's requirements.
* Supporting and challenging budget holders to deliver on their financial commitments.
* Providing accurate management accounting information on a timely basis.
* Working closely with and influencing senior leadership to drive business performance
* Collaborating seamlessly with the wider cost base team and other stakeholders.

Qualifications / Experience

Essential:

* Ability to communicate effectively with team, line staff and leadership
* Experience of working to tight timescales and consistently meeting deadlines
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Experience of supervising, managing and motivating team members
* Must have the ability to work well with others and be a committed team player
* Capital investment management experience
* Fixed Assets management experience
* Able to influence stakeholders
* Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of Oracle ERP systems (or equivalent) and Hyperion

Desirable:

* Ideally CIMA qualified
* Experience gained within a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous but not essential.
