Fantastic Opportunity:

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and experienced Event/ Office Manager to join our fantastic team at one of the UK’S top wedding venues in idyllic east Kent.

We have a really exciting opportunity for the right person. This is an event management role which will include a large proportion of office based tasks, and NOT a wedding planning role, and you need to be highly organised.

We are looking for an articulate, professional and well presented people-person to join our lovely team, at an idyllic, family owned wedding venue in east Kent. You need to have excellent communication skills, be practical, hard working and focused.

The role involves meeting couples and their families, conducting viewings of the venue, diary management, invoicing, meeting and liaising with suppliers, problem solving, some practical tasks around the venue, as well as managing up to 10 staff at full scale wedding. You need to be able to work as part of a team or individually depending on the task in hand. Therefore, the applicant needs to have an understanding of sales, be calm under pressure, and able to multitask on occasion.

Day to day tasks will also involve ordering supplies, using Google Drive, Outlook and other basic booking software/ platforms (some of which can be taught whilst working here), office management, booking ceremonies and a variety of other creative tasks. There is scope for someone wanting a challenge in a happy and fulfilling environment. The role is rewarding and there is a lot of opportunity for the right person. We are small, friendly team who enjoy what we do.

It is predominantly an office based role but will include managing fortnightly weddings which are at weekends. You need to be an excellent people person and love working in events, which can finish in the early hours. Hours can be long and can be demanding at times, but the work is varied and it is vibrant place to work.

Person will need to live locally and have own transport as we are not situated in a village or town. Personal Alcohol licence would be good but not essential. Ideal opportunity for someone who loves the outdoors/ countryside and animals as we are on a farm.

This is a Career Role with Excellent potential in a growing, dynamic family owned business. Role will commence in mid / late summer and be permanent and ongoing. Training Provided...

Hours:-- Approx 25-40 hours per week with 2 weekend days per month. (Some flexibility possible - Could possibly fit around school/ nursery hours). £10 - £15 per hour PLUS Bonus.
