Job Information
We have an opportunity for a self-motivated Customer Service Advisor working in a small team in an open plan Customer Service Office. The underlying objective of the role is to primarily exceed our customer’s expectations on a daily basis.
Responsibilities and Duties
Professionally develop and maintain relationships which benefit customers with excellent service whilst effectively employing persuasion skills to achieve order levels
Effectively communicate with customers to gain commitment to order and build relations via telephone and written communication to gather information
Accurately input customer orders ensuring lead times and minimum order quantity requirements are met
Advise relevant stakeholders of customer feedback/ comments relating to product content and pricing as well as company performance
Enquiry Handling and problem solving obtaining accurate details from customers to ensure quick resolution
Increase the level of orders and business mix direct from individual customers as assigned (including maintaining a database of 100 Key Customers)
Overcome client resistance/objections on challenging issues whilst ensuring a first class service to customers
Record, monitor and assess results of referred enquiries between relevant company departments/stakeholders
Maintain an accurate and current database whilst ensuring effective tracking for enquiries to confirmation or release stage of orders
Internal Communications Skills to be utilised when liaising on behalf of customers with Sales, Warehousing, Logistics and Production
Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of company products and processes as well as gaining an understanding of competitor activity
Provide timely reports on statistics as required by customers and management
Plan diary to prioritise tasks and make effective use of working day
Handle correspondence related to all customer activities and maintain a high standard of presentation in all written documentation
Liaise with members of Sales Team to actively promote sales opportunities, exchange information and increase business
Undertake additional responsibilities relevant to department functions as directed
Qualifications and Skills
This role would suit someone who is self-motivated with a keen desire to succeed, used to working in a fast-paced environment and multi-tasking. Excellent communication skills and a command of English both written and verbal are a pre-requisite as is attention to detail. With an outgoing personality we would expect this person to have worked within telephone account management/data entry for at least two years. The successful candidate will be very comfortable with the MS Office package with a good knowledge of Excel and willing and able to learn the in-house database system.
Benefits
You will be expected to work a 7.5hour shift within the core office hours or 08.15 - 17.30 Monday to Friday. In return we are offering a salary of £16,000 per annum, 25 days annual leave, a company pension, a health care package with free and discounted products.
