Kent Scouts is one of biggest mixed youth organisations in the county. We change lives by offering 6 to 25-year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities.
Kent Scouts has over 1600 young people waiting to join as well as areas that do not currently provide scouting in the local community.
We have an exciting opportunities for additional part-time Growth and Development Officers to join our team. You will support the delivery of the county’s growth and development plans; deliver focussed growth projects working closely with volunteers in Kent.
Outline of Role:
You will play a key role in helping to grow and develop the Scout movement in Kent, working with staff, adult leaders, and other volunteers to promote the growth of Scouting through a wide range of projects, initiatives and events.
As an enthusiastic team player with a good understanding of the challenges facing a wide range of communities (including rural, urban and BME), you must also be able to work flexibly, including frequent travel and evening / weekend work. Outstanding interpersonal skills are essential. This is a home based role but a full driving licence with access to a vehicle is essential.
The salary is a competitive £10 per hour, various contracts available from 10 hours a week to zero hours. These will be fixed term contracts until September 2020 with a possible extension after that period.
