We seek to recruit a Lead Chef to work with our Catering Team to provide a good nutritious menu and a choice of food for our students and staff which promotes healthy eating and is cost effective.
Core responsibilities will involve:
• to plan, control and direct the production and service of all school meals ensuring meals are cooked and served in a timely manner following safe food hygiene standards.
• to maintain kitchen Health and Hygiene regulations
• to undertake the day to day operation of the catering provision including the effective deployment of staff
• to supervise the management and maintenance of accurate stock records for all provisions including stock rotation and control
• to attend training courses, as appropriate and to support in the training of other catering staff
Applicants will have previous experience of working in Catering.
A strong customer service focus together with the ability to effectively manage a small team of people are essential. You will be expected to hold relevant Food Hygiene certificates and be qualified to Level 2 or equivalent and be willing to undertake any necessary training or qualifications relevant to the position.
