As an experienced Commercial Manager you will be tasked with researching and developing different marketing opportunities and plans and implementing new sales strategies. You will be expected to manage the sales staff and all marketing communications. Working as part of the leadership team you will be at the forefront of driving the business forwards to further success.

As a new role within a private, well established organisation this is the perfect opportunity for you to own this role from the outset. Our client has a strong sales team currently in place, in established locations of the business, with new geographical locations developing monthly. Until you have the marketing department off the ground, you will be the only marketing expert in the business, therefore you will also be willing to work at ground level and develop this area of the business further.

Responsibilities
• Accomplish marketing and sales goals through normal managerial duties, such as recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching and disciplining employees.
• Identify trends and determine system improvements to achieve marketing and sales operational goals
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets to meet marketing and sales financial goals
• Develop field sales action plans and advertising to accomplish marketing and sales goals
• Identify different consumer requirements to properly identify marketing opportunities
• Research and capitalise on different marketing opportunities to improve product marketability and profitability
• Anticipate new opportunities to maintain relationship with important clients
• Gather, investigate and summarise data and trends to provide accurate information through reports
• Collaborate with other managers and key employees in sales and marketing department to achieve important goals

Requirements
• Degree in Business and Marketing or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in Management position, preferably in a Private B2C business
• Strong intrapersonal skills
• Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
• Exceptional understanding of sales and marketing
• Proven ability to learn and understand company policies and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Persistent and dependable are essential.
