HR and Payroll Apprentice

£7 per hour

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Fixed-term for the duration of the apprenticeship (18-24 months)



We are looking for a HR and Payroll Apprentice to join our HR team and provide administrative HR support to our schools and Central Services teams. The successful candidate will work across our HR, Payroll and Recruitment functions.



This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in HR as part of a small, friendly team who work closely together and enjoy supporting one another. You will receive full training and day-to-day support throughout the course of your apprenticeship. Alongside your training, you will have an opportunity to have a real impact on our Trust’s HR function, and the HR service that we provide to our Academies and partner organisations.



You will have the option to take either a HR Support or Payroll Administrator apprenticeship, both at Level 3. Successful completion of the course will enable you to apply for Associate membership of the CIPD or CIPP, depending on which course you choose.



This position will be based in Medway at the Trust Central offices at New Horizons Children’s Academy. We are currently bringing our HR and Payroll function fully in-house for the new academic year; you will have the opportunity to be involved in this exciting project and help us to ensure that the HR transformation is a success.



What you will need to succeed:

A degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Business)
Hardworking individual
Quick to learn and motivated
Able to work quickly and efficiently in order to reach the best outcomes at all times
Good ICT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Confident with meeting new people
Able to work independently
Maintain confidentiality inside and outside of the workplace
Minimum ‘C’ grade in GCSE English, Science and Maths
