The Kent MS Therapy Centre is a wonderful charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with Multiple Sclerosis. The purpose built Centre opened in January 2015 and provides a wide range of therapies and services that are vital in helping to alleviate some of the symptoms of MS. A self-supporting and expanding charity we are recruiting a Receptionist to join our busy team.

Receptionists are the face of our charity, the first point of contact for members, volunteers, therapists and visitors alike.



Main purpose of job

The receptionist will be responsible for the following duties:

· Welcome all visitors to the Kent MS Therapy Centre

· Answer the Centre phone and deal with face to face enquiries

· Update the database booking system (Northwood) to make and amend bookings

· Produce booking reports from Northwood for members

· Produce end of day reports from Northwood and ad hoc reports as and when requested from the Management team

· Opening and recording incoming and outgoing post

· Take cash, card and cheque payments from members and produce receipts

· Update daily payments spreadsheet

· Banking

· Help out with general administration tasks

· Provide cover to other receptionist when on annual leave

· Open the Centre one day a week and prepare therapy rooms



Personal Qualities

· Very good verbal, written and listening communication skills

· A friendly personality with a positive attitude and great telephone manner

· Highly PC literate

· The ability to work under pressure in a busy environment

· Understands and respects confidentiality

· The ability to work as part of a team and equally on their own initiative



Experience

Reception experience essential

Familiarity with booking systems and databases an advantage

Familiarity with MS Office 365 cloud based operating system and Microsoft suite of products



General

Must have own transport. Parking is provided at the Centre. A standard DBS check will be required for this post.
