Are you looking to start a career in the legal sector?
Our client, a Specialist Law Firm based in Canterbury, is seeking a Trainee Case Officer to join their pre-exchange team.
Initially, you'll be providing general office support from answering the phone to photocopying and scanning.
Once you've got a feel for how the team works, you'll then start your Case Officer training and have the chance to fully develop your skillset.
Once fully trained, your main responsibilities will be:
* Dealing directly with clients, Housing Associations and their solicitors/Mortgage companies on the telephone and by email.
* Progressing purchase files from start-up to exchange of contracts.
* Reporting to clients with contracts for signing and other important documentation.
* Ensuring all necessary requirements/legal obligations are met throughout the transaction.
* Chasing outstanding documentation after exchange of contracts.
Skills you will need:
* Previous experience of working in an office/customer services environment
* A minimum of 5 GCSEs A - C or equivalent
* An excellent telephone manner
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
* The ability to effectively prioritise your workload and stay calm under pressure
