I am pleased to be advertising an exciting opportunity with a large Kent-based employer who is undergoing a period of positive change. My client is currently recruiting an Interim Accountant for a period of at least 6 months. Reporting into the Financial Controller and working closely with both the financial and management accounts teams you will be responsible for supporting senior management in a range of functions. This assignment will be relevant to those that are either immediately available or soon to be and are seeking a hands-on and varied role.

Responsibilities:
- VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales
- Provide support to the transactional teams
- Month end accounting:
- Bank reconciliations
- Accruals and prepayments
- Preparation of management accounts
- Create variance to budget analysis
- Assist with commercial tenders
- Aged provisions
- Development of spreadsheet models
- Implement new coding process

Profile:
- Qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) is desirable, strong QBE candidates will be considered
- Understanding of transactional financial accounts as well as commercial management accounts is crucial
- Can demonstrate the ability to handle a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Advanced Excel skills are essential
- Experienced in VAT returns
- Can work well within a close-knit team
- Ability to lead from the front

On Offer:
£200-£250 per day for a period of at least 6 months
