Farrer Barnes is currently partnering a local motor dealership in aid of appointing an Assistant Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and commercially driven individual to join a prominent local business and be a part of their continued success and expansion.

Whilst motor trade experience is highly desirable, it is equally as important that you are eager to be an integral part of the finance department as the number two to the Financial Controller.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will have the opportunity to widen your skill set and develop your career aspirations within a supportive environment that affords you excellent career prospects.

You will be responsible for: the preparation and provision of timely and accurate accounts; the preparation of annual budgets; improvement of financial processes and procedures; maintenance of asset register; preparation of VAT returns; management of a small transactional team; ad hoc duties as required.

This role would be ideal for an ambitious and driven individual who is willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.  The far more important factor here is that the character of the candidate is in line with the outgoing friendly atmosphere which is consistent with the general ethos of the company.  The successful candidate will be studying towards their qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
