This popular Tonbridge secondary academy are looking for a new teacher of Health & Social Care to start in, or before, September 2019. Experienced teachers and NQTs will be considered as well as those seeking to gain QTS through assessment routes.

This good academy teaches Health & Social Care at KS3 and KS4 as part of a wider holistic curriculum framework. Teachers have the freedom to plan lessons of their own design but a wealth of resources are available to manage the busy workload of being a teacher. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate in a wider trust of schools.

In this job you will get the opportunity to teach a mixed timetable of KS3 and KS4 Health & Social Care. The subject is not currently taught at KS5. You will be given ample time and support to plan and prepare your lesson material. You will work with very mixed ability students with a passion for their learning. You will be expected to challenge and develop their understanding of their subject and ensure that they have the best opportunity at achieving a great GCSE.

To be successful in this role you will need:

* The ability to teach Health & Social Care at GCSE
* The ability to lead learners with excellent classroom presence
* The ability to stretch and challenge academic students
* The experience of using current educational technology
* The up-to-date knowledge of current teaching practices and safeguarding legislation
