Credit Control Assistant - 21 hours per week (flexible working days)
Tunbridge Wells
£11.20 - £11.30 ph
My client is a well established business based in Tunbridge Wells and they are looking to add an experienced Credit control Assistant to their team.
The working hours are 21 hours per week, with a minimum of 3 days in the office per week. This role would also work well around school hours.
Main function of the role:
* Provide assistance to the Credit Controller in providing an effective and efficient credit control service
* Ensuring invoices are paid as promptly as possible.
* Sending client reminder letters via system, following up queries, contacting clients where appropriate, and providing reports to management.
* Dealing with client and internal queries
* Following up unpaid invoices with clients as appropriate
* Investigating missing payments
* Preparing files for legal action where applicable
Skills/ experience required:
* Experience of working in a credit control function
* Experience of using business computer systems
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
* Tact, firmness, good telephone manner
* Methodical and well-organised approach to tasks
* Quick to learn new tasks and systems
* Able and willing to work on own initiative or as part of a small team
* Ability to work fast and accurately
