Salary: £24,202 to £32,463 per annum, pro rata
Hours: 22.2 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Locations: Canterbury

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Lecturer to teach across a range of Horticulture courses at Hadlow College’s Canterbury Campus. The courses will be mainly RHS, but applicants must be able to deliver other courses at other sites if necessary. The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, although candidates with lower qualifications and strong industry experience will be considered if they can demonstrate a strong all round knowledge of their subject.

In addition to the requirements detailed above, applicants will have teaching experience in a practical and/or classroom setting, together with a teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards one. Courses are delivered across a range of provision types including schools, FE and HE, so applicants will also need to demonstrate that they can be adaptable, resourceful and resilient, have excellent communication and IT skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

This is a part-time position, working 22.2 hours per week at the Canterbury Campus. There may also be a need to teach at other sites and candidates must be flexible.

As well as a contributory pension scheme, staff discount schemes and free car parking, this post also attracts seven weeks holiday each year (excluding bank holidays).
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and to provide proof of their right to work in the UK. Where applicable a prohibition check will be carried out.

To apply for this job, please complete an application form. The job description and application form can be downloaded from our website, www.hadlow.ac.uk. Alternatively, you can request an application pack by emailing jobs@hadlow.ac.uk or telephoning 01732 853977. You are required to complete an application form as we do not accept CVs.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 3rd September 2019

Interviews will be held on 12th September 2019

When applying for this role, please reference this job board as your application source when asked.
