An exciting opportunity has a risen for a Junior Accounts Assistant who is keen to progress and develop their Accountancy career.
You will already have at least 12 months experience working within a fast paced accountancy team and be working towards your AAT Qualification.
The core aspect of this role will be Purchase Ledger; however there will be opportunities to work on other areas within the finance function as you develop.
Key Responsibilities:
* Processing purchase ledger transactions to ensure that the company's suppliers are paid within agreed payment terms.
* Receipting purchase invoices from suppliers.
* Knowledge of multi-currency transactions.
* Matching purchase invoices to Purchase Orders, ensuring that purchase order has been correctly approved.
* Coding and data entry of purchase invoices onto purchase ledger.
* Reconciliation of supplier accounts on the purchase ledger and resolution of any queries and disputes.
* Preparation of supplier payments for the BACS runs.
Person Specification:
* 12 months accountancy & finance experience.
* Studying towards their AAT or degree educated.
* Ability to work within a fast paced environment.
* Able to work within a team and independently.
Salary up to £22K.
