The Company

Obart Pumps, based in Maidstone, Kent, is an importer and UK distributor of electric and engine driven water pumps, control panels and pump accessory products.
The Role
We have a full-time vacancy for a Despatch and Inventory Controller to manage both goods in and out. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role will deliver an effective despatch process. This person will have the desire to learn about our Company, products and systems, to want responsibility, develop and earn more money with us.

Duties

• Booking in stock from deliveries in a timely manner
• Maintaining the goods in area
• Booking daily consignments on 3rd party freight system and producing despatch labels
• Liaising with haulage and courier companies to ensure daily collections are on time
• Managing the stock returns process, and dealing with warranty and repairs
• Carrying out weekly cycle counts
• Investigation and resolution of stock discrepancies
• Managing any daily post using Royal Mail
• Check and report on previous days consignment deliveries and follow up actions
• Any other ad-hoc duties


Skills required

• Similar experience an advantage, but not essential
• High attention to detail
• Good organisation skills
• Hard working, team player and “can do” attitude
• Maths and English GCSE (C or grade 5 and above)
• Knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook essential
• Excellent communication skills
• Pro-active and keen to improve business processes
• Forklift Truck license an advantage but not essential


Salary and Benefits
• £20-£22k per annum depending on experience
• Workplace pension scheme (5% employee, 3% employer contribution)
• 25 days annual holiday + 8 days statutory holidays
Working hours: 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
