S Simmonds & Son Ltd. require an experienced full time Customer Service Advisor based in Paddock Wood on a permanent contract for 38.75 hours per week.

We are looking for someone with ideally experience in a telephone based customer service role. We operate form 9.00am to 5.30pm 6 days per week and you will be expected to work 5 days with a day off in the week if working on a Saturday. Saturdays are worked on a rota basis of currently one in four but increases for June to September for our busy season.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you will be the initial point of contact for all School Wear related communication by phone and email. You will be dealing with enquires from customers, colleagues and our suppliers.

Main Duties

Answering the phone to customers and resolving their requests.
Data entry- accurately recording information and progressing it through our systems.
Effectively communicating decisions to customers via telephone or written communication.
Provide the Customer Service Manager and senior staff with management information.
Assist in providing training to new and seasonal staff to ensure their work is accurate.
To ensure the company maintains its company objective (quality, value and service)
Completing any reasonable duties that may be required to support the business needs.

Personal qualities

A strong commitment to customer service.
An organised approach and the ability to prioritise.
Ability to listen and question effectively to gain the relevant information.
Ability to effectively communicate decisions to customers via telephone or email.
Ability to work under pressure with a level of resilience and flexibility in order to meet changing requirements from our customers at peak times.
Experience of Microsoft office applications.
