Job Description:

As our Network Services are ever expanding, we are seeking a candidate who is proficient with Cisco technologies and will take on the duties of a Junior Network engineer.

The candidate should have a working knowledge and experience working with Cisco switches, wireless and firewalls, with a minimum of 1 years’ experience working within IT and preferably CCNA certified.

The successful candidate joining our growing IT team should be confident, polite & professional, is flexible and able to work to some tight deadlines, must have good communications skills and should have a passion for technology and learning new things.

Desired technical knowledge:

• Cisco small business series devices
• Cisco ASA firewalls
• Cisco catalyst switches
• Wireless Networks
• Security and Compliance
• Security Hardening
• VPN configuration (site 2 site & Dynamic)
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networks, including other Routers, Switches & Firewalls
• Linux knowledge a benefit

Desired personal attributes:

• At least one years’ experience in a similar role
• Excellent spoken and written English and well-developed listening skills
• Analytical, methodical and detailed
• Tenacious problem solver with great troubleshooting skills (Hardware & Software)
• Well organised and independent (able to work for extended periods without supervision)
• Capable of working well under pressure
• Proven Team player
• Flexible and able to demonstrate a desire to learn and develop

This role is based in Sevenoaks (TN13) right next to the Sevenoaks train station and candidates should be reasonably local.
There is an expectation that there will be necessary paid overtime for working outside normal business hours.
