My client based in Medway is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join their UK Finance team.

The role requires a very experienced Accountant who has worked at a senior level. Ideally suited to a progressive individual who strives to provide continuous improvement of processes/controls.

As this is a new role, there is lots of opportunity to add value from day one. You will be a main link alongside the Finance Manager between the Central and Local Finance reporting requirements.

Key duties will include
• Monitoring of all daily automatic postings, prepare corrective actions in case of errors, instruct employees in order to get correct postings
• Coordinating all Finance and accounting activities and coach the assigned accounting employee in their daily work
• Monthly checking of ledger accounts and make necessary corrections
• Preparing monthly trial balance.
• Preparing monthly cash flow management reporting and check local balances.
• Preparing Quarterly Adjustments
• Preparing Consolidation package
• Preparing Intercompany reconciliation
• Preparing monthly cost allocation and recharging
• Preparing VAT filing and other statistical registrations
• Preparing Annual and semi-annual audits
• Preparing Annual local reporting and incorporation tax filings and audits together with the local tax advisor

The successful candidate must be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with recent and relevant experience as a senior accountant as part of a finance team. Must have advanced excel skills.
