An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Independent Living Manager to work within our Independent Living team who provide intensive housing management to older and vulnerable residents living in sheltered accommodation.
Working with teams across the organisation and external partner agencies, your role will be to provide advice to tenants to help promote independence and sustainment of their tenancies and to ensure their health, safety and well-being in their accommodation.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of housing management and customer services, as well as knowledge of housing and tenancy legislation. They will have a sound knowledge of welfare benefits and the ability to build effective relationships and partnerships with officers and members in the Council as well as other partner agencies.
Due to the nature of this role, the post requires an enhanced DBS check and the post holder to have a full driving licence and their own transport or, the ability to be able to travel to sites in a time efficient manner.
The successful candidate will be based in the Folkestone and Hythe district, but may be required as part of the team to work in the Canterbury or Dover districts if required.
