An exciting new opportunity has become available for an experienced Supply Planner as a result of a recent acquisition.

The role is with a global manufacturing client, specialising in FMCG products.

Essentials:
Previous Supply Planning experience.
Ideally experience with third party logistics (3PL).
Previous experience using SAP
High level of general computer literacy including spreadsheets, databases & presentations.

The Ideal Candidate:
Knowledge and expertise or MRP list management in SAP.
Experience of placing orders using SAP and following up with suppliers.
High levels of numeracy.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Experience within a commercial supply planning role
High levels of computer literacy including spreadsheets, databases, presentations.
Experience in multi-national organisation with cross border team working.

Main Purpose of the Role:
This role will focus on supply planning of allocated brands for global supply of co-packed items (ie. finished products made by external suppliers) and will require a flexible, proactive approach, plus the ability to deal with ambiguous information on multiple items, which can frequently change and at short notice.
The Supply Planner will be key in inventory management for 3PL in China.
The Supply Planner has specific responsibility for issuing supply plans to co-packers, placing replenishment component orders and ensuring these are expedited or delayed as necessary, with all the information kept updated on SAP and communicated to key stakeholders throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities & Regular Duties:
You will be responsible for the supply planning of co-packed items sourced from China.
You will liaise with global distributors to gather forecast information.
You will prepare supply plans, raise purchase orders and follow these through with training partners and co-packers proactively.
Work to minimise obsolescence and maximise customer service using SAP and other sources of information.
Monitor stock levels vs inventory targets, working proactively with Supply ain Planning Manager to optimise inventory at 3PL China.
Act as key point of contact with external distributors for the products in your allocated brands.
Work with Project Buyers and PMO team to integrate new products into the supply plan in good time.
Ensure regular housekeeping or MRP lists on SAP is in place.
Authorisation of component purchases by co-packers and tracking of inventory held,
GDP awareness.
Ownership of abnormal demand tracker (forecast changes in frozen period) and processing accepted abnormal demands for your brands within SAP.
Working to enforce the S & OP process.
Active participation in monthly, Supply spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations at an intermediate/advanced level.
General liaison across the organisation, principally with Customer Fulfilment, Sales PMO and Marketing.
Some of these responsibilities will be shared with another Supply Planner, thus the workload will be shared between you, but each will have specific brands allocated to you.
Supply Planning, including monthly forecast update into SAP.
Preparing information and presentations to monthly Supply and S&OP (sales & operational planning) meetings.
Working to achieve inventory targets for allocated brands.
Compilation of quarterly financial; provisions for your allocated brands for co-packed items.
Weekly and monthly reports of inventory data and general operations reports to local and international management.
KPI reporting.
Cross working with global teams.
International travel possible.
