Our client are a property investment company with a mixed portfolio of residential and commercial properties. They are seeking to appoint a resourceful site foreman to run several construction teams working on a number of different projects in the UK and northern Italy.
The types of construction projects range from the refurbishment of industrial units; flat conversions; small bespoke house building projects; and general day to day building maintenance jobs.
PLEASE NOTE: You must be flexible to travel,as there will be extensive travel between various ongoing projects in the South East of England; the Scottish Highlands and Northern Italy.
You must also have previous strong experience as a Site Foreman to be considered for this role.
Foreman Duties and Responsibilities.
* To set up each project and to plan each phase of the construction process.
* To work from drawings but to also be able to make decisions based on verbal instructions and sketch drawings.
* To deal with all site Health & Safety matters and to prepare site CDM files and O&M Manuals to ensure full compliance with relevant legislation
* To assign tasks to construction works and to oversee site managers to ensure the projects are delivered to a high standard.
* To resolve disputes between workers.
* To fully supervise and coordinate all site contraction workers and sub-contractors in respect of site safety and methods of operation.
* To arrange all construction worker training and to ensure all plant operating licenses are up to date. To maintain all construction qualification records.
* To liaise with building control inspectors and ensure BC compliance and obtain all relevant certification.
* To order all materials and to keep records of all small plant allocation and PAT testing.
* To hire in all heavy plant equipment and to oversee the maintenance of in-house heavy plant.
* To provide estimates of cost and program for projects and ensure all projects are completed in timely fashion and to minimal cost.
* To provide regular site progress reports for all projects.
* To process construction workers time sheets and contractors and sub-contractors' invoices for payment by Head office.
