Farrer Barnes is currently working alongside a North Kent based Multi-Academy Trust in aid of appointing a Management Accountant on a temporary basis. Although the appointment is initially temporary, the Finance Manager views the role as integral to the future development of the trust and is open to it being a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will be required to assist monthly management accounting and month end processes. The opportunity suits someone who is keen to work in a busy environment as part of a truly collaborative team.
Key accountabilities:
- Month-end processes
- Monthly management accounts
- Bank reconciliations
- Supervising a small team
- Act as a point of escalation for complex queries
- Payroll reconciliation
- VAT returns
- Ad hoc assistance as required
The ideal candidate will be immediately available or on short notice, have a prior background within education and be AAT qualified (or ACCA/CIMA part-qualified) as a minimum.
