Wellbeing Worker – Job Description

Expected Scale 5

Reporting to Operations Leader

General Requirements: Commitment, attention to detail as well as being conscientious, and possess the ability to identify potential problems and remain solution focused. Good IT skills: good working knowledge of MS Excel, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Outlook is essential.

The main role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Lead delivery of mental health and well-being community service contract activities at multiple locations.

· Lead delivery of mental health and wellbeing improvement courses.

· Lead delivery of a wide variety of bespoke well-being projects and grant funded programmes at multiple locations.

· Regular updating of course content in response to feedback and evaluations.

· Support delivery of specific training delivery

· Facilitation of individual Recovery Action Plans (RAPS) – Youth and adult and report production on outcomes.

· To liaise with school staff and lead delivery of support within school settings.

· Help Emails when required.

· Manage all incoming Live Well referrals and onward work associated to booking new service users into activities and courses.

· Course bookings and contacting service users.

· Preparation of delivery programmes.

· Evaluation - Accurate recording and collation of work and outcomes as required including running focus groups and assisting senior staff in report production.

· Providing individual one to one support, including information and guidance for service users within New to Mind Appointments

· Telephone enquiries

· Emergency Support – both face 2 face and via telephone

· Availability for out of hours flexible working

· Attend regular 121 sessions with Staff Supervisor

· Attendance at training and team meetings.

· Representation at relevant events and meetings with external partners

· Establishing and maintaining new partnerships with local mental health and wellbeing related services

· Maintaining latest knowledge on local provision for mental health conditions and latest knowledge levels on DSM11.

· Ability to work flexibly across a number of platforms and locations, effectively managing and prioritising workloads.

· Maintaining the high standards of Mid Kent Mind and its well-being centre.

· Maintaining databases (Lamplight) and updating records

· Assisting Wellbeing Assistants on work and providing guidance or information.

· Making relevant referrals to external Mental health agencies and support providers.

· Any other ad-hoc requirements
