Based in the centre of Maidstone, our client has developed a reputation for creative thinking and quality design. Due to continued expansion of their digital team they are seeking a developer to join them.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience building and maintaining websites. An in-depth knowledge of the WordPress platform is essential and some knowledge of launching, hosting and maintaining websites are also key skills for the role.

Applicants will be expected to ‘hit the ground running, to work, swiftly accurately and sometimes independently to meet deadlines on time. Their overall aim is to find an extremely motivated, hardworking and creative individual who is looking for the best possible next step in their design career.

Job role requirements for the role of Junior / Mid-weight WordPress Web Developer

· Developing and maintaining bespoke WordPress websites
· Maintenance of existing features & plug-ins
· Assist in ongoing client requests
· Contributing to the development of new features
· Contributing to ensuring the security of the platform content
· Staying up to date with the latest WordPress updates and the effects that come with these updates
· Working with the creative team to bring their designs to life
· Can spot and rectify problems
· Working knowledge of the Google Development tools
· Knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP + JavaScript would be a bonus
· Knowledge of SEO and PPC, and how these can be implemented
· Working knowledge of Google Analytics and being able to show reports to clients
