Arjowiggins Chartham Mill is part of a larger Paper Manufacturing Company based in the village of Chartham just outside Canterbury. Our translucent paper products, have been made on this site since 1938 and are used for many applications worldwide. We are pleased to announce that we are entering an exciting phase of Company development. We are actively promoting our capability to produce recyclable and environmentally friendly paper products for new applications in a variety of markets.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Manager.
You will ideally have a background in heavy engineering and be a Chartered Electrical Engineer. We will also consider applications from those on a career path that will lead to chartered status.
You will have extensive experience with electrical power, distribution and control up to 415V. You are also likely to have HV experience and authorisation. Experience with drives (AC and DC), PLCs and/or DCS systems would also be an advantage.
You will be responsible for a team of 8 and you will need proven abilities to develop, manage and coach this committed and proactive electrical team.
In addition to the day to day running of the department you will need to set out, communicate and manage longer term objectives.
You should have an interest in financial planning, ability to forecast departmental requirements and ability to design and deliver actions plans to meet these. An important part of the role will be to develop strategic electrical plans and an awareness of business requirements in this respect.
In addition to the above we are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, with excellent communication and management skills, able to persuade and influence, a critical thinker and able to problem solve.
