We are currently looking to recruit an Estimator for our client based in Crystal Palace.

Location: Crystal Palace with travel across London sites

Salary: £40K to £60K

Start: ASAP

Requirements:

* Strong background in a similar role
* Full UK driving license
* Strong team building and leadership skills
* Knowledge of all construction disciplines

We require an Estimator who is skilled in first principle estimating (I.e. labour, plant and materials) in construction. You will be a driven and motivated individual looking to work for a forward thinking company.

You will have a desire to train and mentor trainees to ensure a growing estimating department. My client are a specialist contractor working within building restoration, conservation and stonemasonary. We are ideally looking a candidate with a background in a similar speciality.

Responsibilities:

* Assessment and co-ordination of tender bid and pre-contract activities
* Preparation of tenders from first principles
* Preparation and submission of detailed estimates
* Supervising and coaching less experienced estimators
* Adjudication of tenders
* Management and co-ordination of the estimating function
* To ensure all estimates reflect the requirements of the company
* Following up tender submissions
* To be responsible for and develop selected key company support disciplines
* Manage all submitted estimates to ensure maximum conversion
* Attend project debrief meetings, eliciting feedback from contracts staff
* Attend contract handover meetings
