Experienced Accounts Assistant needed for a construction company - Maidstone APPLY ASAP

Your new company

Hays are actively searching for an Accounts Assistant who shows great attention to detail to join a construction and property development company at their satellite office based in Maidstone.

Interviews are to be held ASAP so do not miss your chance to apply!

Working hours will be to suit the needs of the business - as a guide generally 8.30am-5.30pm 5 days a week.

Your Responsibilities

* Invoice approval and processing approximately 50+ per week
* Sage input, updates and adhoc reporting
* Posting journal entries
* Reconciling control accounts
* CIS deductions and reconciliations
* Receiving, checking and processing sub-contractor applications & payment certificates
* Confirming invoice value against purchase orders and taking up any queries
* Posting bank transactions to sage and conducting daily reconciliations
* Resolving invoice queries with suppliers and reconciling supplier statements
* Processing of credit card statements and staff expense claim forms
* Assisting with month and year end procedures.
* Credit control assistance

What you'll need to succeed

Experience of Sage 50 is essential, along with a working knowledge of Microsoft office applications such as Word and Excel.

* Have excellent interpersonal and team skills
* Proactive and be able to prioritise and manage a busy work load
* Someone who is able to remain professional and calm at all times
* Strong Microsoft skills including word, excel and outlook
* Experience in an account's role
* Have superior internal and external customer service skills
* Demonstrate excellent time management
