We have an exciting opportunity for an immediate start for a Yard Hand within a local, independent Builders Merchant based in Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent.
The successful candidate will work within a team and duties will include:
- Ensuring that customers are served promptly and efficiently with the correct materials
- Receive and check off deliveries to the branch, highlighting any anomalies
- Storing goods in an appropriate section of the yard as directed
- Driving a forklift truck to load/unload goods
- Assist with picking and loading of orders
- Observe all Health & Safety rules
This role would suit someone with experience of working in a yard/warehouse environment, who has a full driving licence plus a forklift licence. Builders Merchant knowledge would be advantageous and the successful candidate should be able to follow instructions and be self-motivated, friendly and outgoing.
Hours are 7am-5pm Monday-Friday and 7am-12pm on alternate Saturdays.
