Friendly and growing accountancy practice based on the outskirts of Maidstone has an opportunity for a Payroller to join them on a part-time basis.

There is flexibility over the hours worked, as long as they meet the commitments of processing payroll. Ideally, the firm would prefer somebody to work a set number of hours every day or c.20 hours a week.

This Payroller position is a varied one, completing client payrolls from start to finish and responding to queries. The clients vary in size from single Director payrolls through to larger weekly and monthly paid companies with shifts, bonuses, etc. The firm uses Sage Payroll, as well as working with cloud-based packages such as Xero and QuickBooks. There will be an opportunity for you to work on additional areas such as VAT returns and client accounts during the less busy periods of payroll.

Your payroll experience should include:
• Previous experience in accountancy practice or payroll bureau
• Processing weekly and monthly payrolls
• Calculating SSP, SMP. Etc
• Completing statutory returns and end of year reports
• CIS returns

As mentioned, there could be opportunities for you to expand your work and experience outside of payroll and training and support will be given for this.

This is a small office with five staff and so there will be daily interaction with clients.
