As a Social Worker working with people over the age of 18 with a wide range of disabilities, you will manage a caseload requiring assessment, review and ongoing support to make a real difference in achieving improved outcomes and leading to independent living for the service user.

Alongside opportunities for training and development, you will receive the support you need and recognition for your good work.

Occasionally you will be expected to work outside normal office hours and at weekends to optimise support to service users and provide a responsive, seamless and multi-disciplinary approach.

This post is predominantly based at Kroner House, Ashford but you could be asked to work occasionally in Whitstable to meet business needs as necessary.

Due to the current situation with Covid-19, interviews may be held via video conferencing.

Our offer

• Social Worker position at KR 9 (£29,446 to £33,510 depending on experience) or KR 10 (£33,678 to £39,613 depending on experience)
• Relocation packages up to a maximum of £8,000
• Full induction and comprehensive professional learning and development
• Annual leave allowance of 27 to 30 days depending on grade and experience

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
