We are recruiting for a fast-growing fruit distribution business in their search for a Financial Controller to work from their office based just outside of Maidstone.
This innovative and exciting business is going to experience a real growth in 2020 and they are looking for a dynamic and personable Financial Controller to report to and work closely with the CEO. A really varied and interesting role, this would be the ideal role for someone who is self motivated, energetic with lots of passion, ideas and will enjoy working closely with the key management team. The company imports and exports fruit to France, Spain, South America, Asia and Russia. Any language skills particularly French and or Spanish would be very advantageous
The Financial Controller will need to be CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified with a strong academic background. You will need advanced Excel skills. Any exposure to working within a distribution organisation would be a distinct advantage. Exposure to dealing with senior management and challenging, where appropriate, is essential. You will need to be prepared to be 'hands on' and communicate well with different divisions. A background of working with Xero would also be extremely beneficial.
Key duties for the Financial Controller will include:
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Year-end accounting
- Balance sheet reviews
- Liaising with and being the financial representative for auditors, banks, tax partners, etc.
- Business partnering and producing reports for various departments
- Creation and roll out of KPI analysis
- Completion of management accounts
- Profit and loss analysis
- Management of a small finance team
- Ad-hoc project work
