Job Purpose:
• To manage the day to day implementation of hygiene services to the site
• To efficiently carry out any assigned task or duty
• To communicate with other departments within the business
• To be flexible when required for the good of the business and the team

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

• To ensure the safety of oneself and others at all times
• To manage the day to day functions of the hygiene team/department
• To carry out first stage disciplinary action
• To carry out scheduled and ad-hoc hygiene audits
• To organise and control stock issue and generate stock replenishment orders
• To assist with the delivery of the programed machinery deep clean shutdowns
• Validate daily, weekly & monthly cleaning schedules
• To deputise for the Hygiene & Pest Control Manager on hygiene related issues in their absence
• To ensure all the paper work is completed properly, accurately and on time
• To carry out any other task in connection with the department to support the business needs
• Working within a team to cover all factory and associated areas and cover other team members when absent
• Flexibility to cover different shift patterns as required to cover absence/holiday and overtime as required absence

Person Specification:

Experience:
• Previous in-depth hygiene experience within a food manufacturing environment

Knowledge:
• Supervisory techniques (can be provided through training/mentoring)
• An understanding of HACCP principles
• Numerate & literate and able to follow instructions

Skills:
• Good communication skills
• People skills
• Basic IT skills
• Ability to work on own initiative individually as well as part of a team
