Social-Ability is a social venture, with offices in Tonbridge and London, with an ambition to make society happier. Our first goal is to spark laughter and happiness for everyone living with dementia. Our motivation comes from experience of living with dementia in our families and as a result, we only choose to market and develop products we believe in.
Our company have launched a “happiness programme” that uses table, floor, wall or even ceiling projected interactive games. The technology uses infrared cameras to map hand and foot movement so that these movements can interact with projected games; for example a hand hitting a ball away. The results have been amazing and people living with dementia suddenly come alive, happy and engage with the game. We work with many of the top care home groups in the UK and Ireland, as well as with many libraries, hospitals and community centres.
We started out with a simple idea – to listen to the many care staff, friends and family that we’d met and worked with to develop something truly ground-breaking. A best-in-class “magic table” projector paired with a service offering so powerful, we are willing to guarantee its effectiveness. And so, Social-Ability was born…

We are looking for someone to join our games development team who has the following skills set:

• Experience in CreateJS or similar and used common JS libraries and frameworks to build JS apps
• Strong and demonstrable Javascript coding experience
• Understanding of up to date best practices in writing HTML5 Games
• Ability to profile and optimise Javascript games
• Understanding of front end design principles and a keen eye for quality
• Experience working on mobile web games
• A commercial mind to not only help improve the quality of the games we currently produce but also how to improve the overall functionality of the service we provide

Our other applications are built with the following C#, SQL databases, RESTful API, vue.js. Being familiar with React and Angular would be helpful. Any knowledge of or a willingness to learn these applications would be useful but not essential.
