Looking for a new job in care? We are looking for Support Workers to join our brand new service based in the beautiful grounds of Hothfield Manor, on the outskirts of Ashford. Our new service will support individuals with learning disabilities within their own bungalow home. The service will be staffed 24 hours a day with a minimum of two staff at all times.
The Role of Support Worker
As a Support Worker you will ensure the highest standards of care and support are delivered to our service users, encompassing all activities of daily living. You will act as a role model and will be actively involved in engaging service users with daily activities, educational and behavioural support programmes and leisure/recreational activities.
Staff will need to help with food preparation, medication, carrying out general tasks like housework, laundry and shopping, assisting service users to access the community, participate in hobbies and visit places of interest.
Support Workers work a mixture of day and night shifts, including weekends on a rota system.
We are looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals who want to make a positive difference to our service users. You do not need experience of health and social care and full training will be provided, however you do need to have compassion and a positive attitude.
