Hays Education are looking for Supply teachers for short- and long-term supply teaching work. We are currently working with an increasing number of Secondary schools across East Kent on a partnership basis and consequently we will have a large amount of supply teaching roles available.

Your new role
We are currently recruiting for Day to Day supply teachers to work across secondary schools in Canterbury, Ashford, Dover, Thanet and surrounding areas. If you like variation and want to build on your experience as a Teacher, this would be a fantastic way to achieve this. Whether you are looking for flexible work due to having other commitments, ideally looking for long-term work however are immediately available or looking to rapidly build your teaching experience, these roles will be well suited to you.

You will be expected to stand in place of the Teacher while they are absent. You will be required to use your skills as a teacher to lead the class however without the planning or marking responsibilities. You will there to deliver the work to the pupils, motivate them to stay engaged and demonstrate excellent classroom control. The schools that we are working vary from 'outstanding' to those that are more challenging, so we can cater to the type of school you would like more exposure in or those that suit your teaching style best.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you must have QTS/QTLS or be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT). You will also need demonstrate that you have good classroom control and can manage difficult behaviour well.
