To support site management team in the successful delivery of KPI’s and business requirements at the site. Working with the site management team to help ensure effective systems are in place to maintain optimum service levels.

Take a proactive approach to managing performance of the site and the people, identifying areas of development and supporting in line with succession and development plans.



Main Responsibilities:

• Daily responsibility of the warehouse shift operation and warehouse shift management system ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met and costs are controlled

• Daily responsibility for ensuring all unloading and loading is completed in a timely manner to meet dispatch and production times

• Management and development of people, ensuring that team issues are resolved effectively, and decisions are consistent and in line with company policy

• To work alongside the other Shift Manager to ensure communication, best practice and efficiency is continually reviewed and improved.

• Produce, analyse and provide feedback on daily, weekly and monthly reports relating to performance and finance

• Ensuring that projects run to schedule and to budget, overseeing schedules of work, and finding solutions to problems that may cause delay

• Daily responsibility for ensuring warehouse practices and procedures are carried out in line with Company Health and Safety policy and HACCP

• Daily responsibility for MHE equipment including visual inspections for damage, maintenance and servicing

• Ensure company procedures are followed and all activities are undertaken with due care and in accordance with current health and safety legislation

• Daily responsibility for ensuring productivity and activity is managed, identifying improvement plans to improve performance and reduce cost

• Daily responsibility for goods in/intake and reporting on accuracy of arrival

• Responsible for continuous improvement of processes and procedures and oversee any projects through to completion

• Responsibility for maintain good and improving on communications and relationships with other departments

• Responsible for maximizing storage capabilities

• Responsible for ensuring warehouse activities are compliant to all relevant audit requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent level of English and Maths
• Understanding different cultures
• Dealing with disciplines
• Full driving Licence
• Meet customers need
• Stick to tight deadlines
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the Warehouse industry
• Previous experience in a fast moving customer focused business such as Produce, FMCG, Manufacturing or Food environment.
• A track record of implementing and delivering against a plan.
• Internal and external stakeholder communication.
• Demonstrable leadership experience in a multi-disciplinary customer focused environment.
• Must demonstrate and ability to motivate, coach and develop people.
• Must be comfortable being a hands on operator
• Ensure equipment is safe and maintained to ensure optimum yield for the customers product whilst working within quality specifications and expectations.
• Demonstrate the ability to drive performance and operational excellence within cross functional teams.

Measure of Performance/Key Deliverables:

• Achievement of KPI’s
• Efficiency of workload
• Accuracy of work
• Internal relationships with team members
• Effective supervision of team
• Team motivation and morale
• Dispatching on Time
• Achievement of customer service levels
