A Deputy Manager
To work in our wonderful family run Home
We strive for high quality care for our residents and are looking for new members to share that same passion for excellence in care.
We are a supportive home that believe in training and nurturing staff to ensure only the best levels of care for our Residents.
The successful candidate must have a flexible approach and demonstrate a good understanding of the elderly.
As a Deputy Manager you are responsible for supporting the Home Manager with the day to day running of the care home, leading a team of care professionals, with a shared passion and commitment for delivering the highest standards of car.
The Deputy manager will form strong relationships with staff, residents and their families and therefore their presence in the home will be pivotal to its success.
Pay/Salary – To be discussed at interview
Working Hours: Your normal working hours are 36 to 40 hours per week, but you may be required to work additional hours when requested. Your days and hours of work which will normally include alternate weekends, can be subject to change to meet the needs of the home, and as such will be allocated to you by the Home Manager.
The following minimum requirements are essential:
• NVQ Level 3 in care or above
• Experience of working in a senior position, preferably at management level
• Strong leadership skills
• Good report writing, organisational and IT skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
Responsibilities will include:
• Assisting the Registered Manager in the day to day running of the home
• Supporting and supervising the care team
• Medication Management
• Person Centered Care Planning
• Recruitment, training and mentoring of staff
• Assisting the Registered Manager with new client referrals and assessment
• On-call responsibilities, including weekend cover and general Rota management
• This role also includes to cover care shifts when needed
