My client is looking for a Senior Town Planner for an opportunity in Kent on an interim basis.
Your new company
We are working with a local council who are working with a huge portfolio of buildings and projects scheduled over the next ten years. These projects will range in value and be some of the best projects to be involved with in the region.
Your new role
You will be responsible for reviewing planning and listed building consent applications and discharge of conditions, undertaking research to support the planning process and manage the outputs of various technical consultants ranging from planning, design, transport, heritage and environmental.
Duties include:
* Overseeing the preparation of any necessary supporting information for the planning applications.
* Supporting that process including responses to consultation and preparation of evidence for potential appeal of public inquiry.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you would be a chartered RTPI accredited Planner, a mix of public and private sector experience would also be useful and that could be with a consultancy or developer. Experience of high-profile Heritage or Listed Building Projects would also be beneficial but not essential. A good knowledge of S106 drafting and negotiation would also be useful.
What you'll get in return
The role is ongoing with a minimum 6 month time frame initially although this is highly likely to roll on to further projects. The day rate is highly competitive. You will also benefit from a certain flexibility with days from home and hours to suit.
