Glaucoma UK is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting people affected by the eye disease glaucoma. We campaign to raise awareness of glaucoma, support those affected by this lifelong disease, and fund sight saving research.
COVID-19 had impacted heavily on the delivery of eye healthcare services, and many of the people we support are struggling to access advice, support and information. We want to take our support services online, and thanks to a grant from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, we’re recruiting someone to co-ordinate our next steps in digital support. We recently trialled some online support groups, and this new post will help us to research, test and roll out a wider service that really meets the needs of the people we support, now and into the future.
