A highly reputable company based just outside of Sevenoaks is looking to expand its finance team with a qualified Finance Accountant.
The successful candidate will report directly into the Group FC and will be responsible for the companies group accounts, whilst managing and developing a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordination of the audit process
* Prepare and review statuary financial accounts for the group.
* Communicate all relevant information and procedure changes to your team.
* Responsibility for accounting for holding companies.
* Ownership of the groups VAT processes including processing group VAT returns
* Company secretarial responsibilities including filing of statutory returns with Companies House
* Key contact for Corporation Tax from the group of companies.
Person Specification:
* ACA/ACCA or CIMA Qualified.
* At least two years of post-qualification experience.
* Statutory accounting background.
* Well organised with strength in prioritising and meeting key deadlines
* Able to work autonomously and flexibly
* High level of accuracy and good attention to detail
* Strong Excel and analytical skills
* Strong all-round technical accounting knowledge
* Experience of preparing complex VAT returns
* Involvement in group consolidated accounting
* Strong communication skills, including ability to build relations internally and externally
